Grupo Do It began in 1994 with the development of Vistas del Pacífico, where John Scheman personally oversaw the construction of roads, water systems, and residential lots. That hands-on approach established a foundation of trust, quality, and vision that continues to guide every project today.
What started as a bold dream has grown into one of Guanacaste’s most respected development companies. Over three decades, we’ve played a key role in transforming the region from an agricultural province into a thriving hub for tourism, real estate, and infrastructure investment.

Property Development
Grupo Do It has decades of expertise across the full development process. We own and operate properties in a wide range of asset classes: residential communities, warehouses, commercial centers, hardware stores, gas stations, rock quarries, building materials distribution, and tourism infrastructure.
Our partnerships include the development firm, Urban Partners. Founded in 2009, they promote and develop world-class, innovative real estate projects such as Bosques de Lindora, Forum I, Forum II y La Hacienda which were spearheaded by Génesis Desarrolladores, a company founded by Alberto Kader, who later went on to start Urban Partners.
In 2017, Grupo Do It partnered with Urban Partners to co-develop Ciudad Nya, a landmark 2,225-acre mixed-use project just two kilometers from Guanacaste International Airport. Nya includes Costa Rica’s first Crystal Lagoon®, a waterfall, affordable housing, and a 206-acre Free Trade Zone that will bring thousands of jobs to the province. The project also includes a planned Marriott Courtyard hotel.
